In 6 steps to a magazine-worthy interior with Maestro Latt wall panels
Maestro Latt wall panels are a great way to brighten up a room and give it a unique character. With their modern, sleek look, they’re perfect for creating accent walls or covering entire surfaces. And the best part? Installation is far from rocket science. Follow this simple step-by-step guide to create your own Maestro Latt interior with ease!
Step 1: Define your preferences
Decide whether you want to use Maestro Latt panels for a full wall or just as an accent. If you choose an accent wall, determine which section of the wall you want to cover. For example, you might panel only the headboard wall behind your bed or the section behind your TV to add a bit of visual interest!
Step 2: Let the panels acclimate
Once your plan is ready and you’ve picked up your panels from the store, it’s time to roll up your sleeves. Before installation, let the wooden panels acclimate for 24 hours in the room where they’ll be installed. This allows them to adjust to the temperature and humidity of the space.
Step 3: Prepare the wall
Make sure the surface where you plan to install your Maestro Latt panels is smooth, clean, and completely free of dust and grease. If the wall isn’t even, build a wooden batten frame first.
Step 4: Cut the panels to size
The panels come in a standard height of 2770 mm. If your wall is lower, or if you simply don’t want the panels to reach the ceiling, cut them to the desired height.
If you’re not covering the full width of the wall, finish the edges neatly with two end profiles — one on each side. Keep in mind that with two end profiles, the total width will increase by 71 mm. Each panel is 300 mm wide, so it’s best to cover your wall using multiples of this width to minimize cutting.
If you have outlets or switches to account for, measure their positions carefully, mark them on the panels, and cut out the openings using a hole saw of the correct diameter. The cover plate can then be reattached over the panel.
Step 5: Attach the panels
If you’re not covering the entire width of the wall, start by installing an end profile. For a full wall, glue the Maestro Latt panels directly to the wall or staple them onto the wooden frame. Make sure they’re properly aligned and that the seams between the panels are straight and even.
Step 6: Enjoy!
Maestro Latt wall panels are a fantastic way to add personality to a room. By following these simple steps, you can easily and quickly install your panels and transform your space into a modern, one-of-a-kind interior.
Good luck!
