How to install Maestro Steps
With Maestro Steps, you choose a clean, simple, and fast solution. With this staircase renovation system, there’s no need to remove your existing stairs. Instead, you simply install the steps over your current staircase. The only three steps you need to follow are measuring, cutting, and installing.
Step by step
Step 1: Measure your existing staircase
The first step towards a new staircase is measuring your current one. This works best on a staircase that has been stripped of any covering, dirt, or adhesive residue.
If it’s a wooden staircase, lightly degreasing or even sanding it can help improve adhesion.
Step 2: Cut the new steps to size
Once you’ve marked the measured steps on your Maestro Steps components, it’s time to start shaping!
For a smooth process, it’s best to cut all the steps—and any accessories—right away.
Step 3: Glue and finish the new staircase
Apply enough adhesive to the original step
Press the new step firmly and level it
Install the profiles
Finish with the matching color sealant
