How to install wainscoting (Lambris)
Lambris transforms a simple wall into a visual highlight. By following each step carefully, you’ll create an elegant, timeless wall paneling.
Step by Step
Step 1
Fix the stop profile and determine the height of the wainscoting. Cut panels and crown moulding to size if needed. If placing between two walls, you can skip this step.
Step 2
Install the bottom mounting profile and the crown moulding along the top of the wall.
Step 3
Install the middle profiles with a maximum spacing of 30 cm.
Step 4
Attach the skirting board to the mounting profile and cut to size if required.
Step 5
Slide the first panel upward and then downward into place, fitting it into the vertical crown moulding.
Step 6
Install the remaining panels, secure them with staples or screws, and if desired finish with paint (lightly sand + primer). In a corner you can finish with a bending strip which you can fold into an internal or external corner profile.
