How to install Lynes
Discover how to achieve a sleek, architectural result with Lynes profiles. By carefully following each step—from preparation to finishing—you’ll transform your project into a harmonious whole with a perfect finish.
Step by Step
Preparation
Fully plan the project on a technical drawing before you begin installation. Consider electrical connections, the LED‐lighting circuit, built-in doors, switches, corners… The best results are achieved on a black background.
2 — Install the skirting or finishing profile
Ensure that this is perfectly level at the bottom of the wall. This will make the subsequent steps easier.
3 — Mount the aluminium mounting rails
Place them horizontally at about 50 cm intervals and screw them down every 30 cm into the substrate.
4 — Install the fastening clips
Click or slide the clips onto the rails and trim them if necessary. Position the end profile next to the last clip and screw the clips in place.
5 — Cut the profiles to size
Saw to the required height and leave an expansion gap of at least 10 mm. For lengths above 270 cm, use a joint piece.
6 — Install the light profiles (optional)
Choose either a functional or a mood light profile, clip it into the rail, and install the LED strip (we recommend 4000 K and at least 1200 lm/m).
7 — Mount and finish
Click the Lynes profiles onto the clips and finish the top with an ALU or MDF finishing profile. Tape the sides with edge banding in the same decor.
